Ralph Nader expressed his thoughts on Obama and gives him a little advise.
“The president’s push is foundering because Obama hasn’t learned to stand strong with his progressive allies.” “And he’s got to learn how to fight, how to draw clear lines, and how to go to his progressive base,” Nader said. “He’s never invited progressive leaders to the White House, and they represent a huge constituency that elected him. But he invites CEOs to the White House, of health insurance companies and drug companies. You don’t win that way.”
Nader also said Obama is suffering because of the complexity of his proposals.

AROUND THE WORLD
* Its Oktoberfest time. Our only real German resturant in the area closed up a couple of years ago. Now it is impossibe to get real German food.
I figured I would post a couple of pictures I found. Maybe someday I will make it there to experience myself.
* A lady mistook a large water rat for her cat while sleeping. After petting the “cat rat” it latched onto her lip. The rat fled after being shot with an air gun.
* Another lady gave birth to a 19.2 pound 24.4 inch long baby recently in Indonesia. Doctors say it eats no stop and was probably so large because the mother is a Diabetic.
* In Sweeden, the military is having a problem with their uniforms. It seems that the bras of female members burst open catch fire and melt during exercise and training. The military has knowen about the problem but the “male-dominated Swedish military hierarchy has failed to act.
* An Omaha man may end up losing his home after dealing with a loan modification company that promised him an reduced mortgage rate and monthly payment.
The company, 21st Century Legal Services, told the man that it could refinance his home with the Bank of America and get him a 3.5 percent rate, bringing his monthly payment down to $274 a month, all that was needed was an upfront payment of $3,000. They also advised the 70-year-old to stop paying his mortgage while it worked the deal with his lender.
Believe it or not the man paid the $3000 dollars and stopped making his mortgage payment. Now Bank of America wants its money and said it will start foreclosure procedings if he didn’t get a payment.
The BBB gives 21st Century Legal Services a rating of “F” and says the man is not likely to recover his money.
****Come on, are we, as a people, that stupid? Wouldn’t you think that he would have checked out the company before paying upfront money, especially when it comes to his house? And how coudl anyone be stupid enough to think it was ok to stop making payments on the house? Even when a bank goes under you still have to make payments on your loans. This is almost as bad as people going to meet “underaged kids” they meet online and actually going through with the meeting when there is a big NBC News truck out in front of the house.****
