It has been really cool to almost cold here the past few days and it has rained a lot. The weather fools are still talking about snow this weekend. We will have to turn the pumps off on the pond and put the de-icer in the water just in case the water starts to freeze over. Don’t really want to lose any fish this winter.
Next week, I go back to the dentist and have the rest of my metal fillings removed. The Navy put them in but there is something about M.S. and metal fillings so I get drugged and gased up and away he drills.
I cut off Emma’s cast last night. All that is left is a small piece of tape on her hair that she is trying to lick off of her. She won’t let me just yank it off, which I don’t blame her.

OBAMA AND THE PEACE PRIZE
Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”
The committee highlighted Mr Obama’s efforts to strengthen international bodies and promote nuclear disarmament.
****I really don’t understand this, Obama really hasn’t done anything. He has not reduced nuclear weapons, he has not ended any wars and he sure hasn’t done much to correct the Palestine/Israel issues. I think there were several better deserving candidates, Mir Hossein Mousavi of Iran, Morgan Tsvangirai of Zimbabwe or King Abdullah of Jordan. I really don’t see what Obama has done yet that qualifies him for the prize.****

The Muslim Canadian Congress called on the federal government to prohibit the two garments in order to prevent women from covering their faces in public — a practice the group said has no place in a society that supports gender equality.
Congress spokeswoman Farzana Hassan said “There is nothing in any of the primary Islamic religious texts, including the Qur’an, that requires women to cover their faces, not even in the controversial, ultra-conservative tenets of Sharia law.” “Considering the fact that women are in fact forbidden from wearing burkas in the grand mosque in Mecca, Islam’s holiest site, it hardly makes sense that the practice should be permitted in Canada.”

Levi Johnston, father to former Governor Pailn’s bastard grandson is planning on posing in the nude for Playgirl. Johnson, who is also in a commercial for Wonderful Pistachios, where an announcer states “Now Levi Johnston does it with protection.”
