Christmas is getting closer. I am so glad I am finished with all my shopping. I think my wife still has some things left to get and since we don’t exchange gifts it makes it so much easier. Our streets were a sheet of ice again today. They don’t put salt down, just gravel, and it doesn’t really help much. Last night I took my son to Sam and Louies for dinner before I left for work.

ANOTHER WAR CRIMINAL ESCAPES JUSTICE The UK has issued an arrest warrant for Israeli war criminal Tzipi Livni, former Foreign Minister. It is the first time a UK court has issued a warrant for the arrest of a former Israeli minister. Livni was foreign minister during Israel’s Gaza assault last winter. Benjamin Netanyahu said the situation was “an absurdity”. “We will not accept a situation in which [former Israeli Prime Minister] Ehud Olmert, [Defence Minister] Ehud Barak and Tzipi Livni will be summoned to the defendants’ chair,” Mr Netanyahu said in a statement. The warrant was revoked on Monday when it was found Livni was not visiting the UK. Israeli officals have escaped arrest for war crimes in the past also: Oct 2009: Former military chief Moshe Yaalon cancelled a UK visit because of fears of arrest for alleged war crimes. Sept 2005: Arrest warrant issued for a former head of Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip Gen Doron Almog. He received warning before disembarking from an aircraft at Heathrow Airport, and flew back to Israel.
****Its about time countries of the world start holding people accountable for their crimes against humanity and peace. Now if someone would just arrest Bush and Cheney.****

The Israeli cabinet has decided to include some West Bank settlements in a national scheme that will entitle them to millions of dollars’ worth of funds. They are being designated as national priority zones, meaning they will qualify for grants, tax benefits, and other forms of aid. The national priority zones plan is designed to funnel money into deprived areas. About two million Israelis live in those areas – approximately 110,000 of them in West Bank settlements. The international community considers all settlements in Israeli-occupied Palestinian land as illegal under international law, though Israel disputes this.
****Maybe they should give up on the two state solution and the UN should move in, hold elections where everyone is allowed to vote, and who ever wins, regardless if they are Jewish or Palestinian, they form the government.****

Evangelist Oral Roberts, founder of the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association and Oral Roberts University, died Tuesday. He was 91. I am sure his message of hate toward those he didn’t agree with will be well received in hell. By the way Oral, Jesus wasn’t white.

FOLLOW UP The Attorney for Corey Hernandez said that since Senior Airman Garcia told him to pull the trigger, the shooting an “invited act,” and thus charges shouldn’t be applied to his client. After all, the two had played the game many times before. Military officials say the game, which has resulted in at least five deaths, violates basic weapons safety rules. Hernandez’ Attorney says “I don’t like to call it a game.†“It’s a trust-building exercise. It’s an extension from the military, but it’s certainly not supervised. It’s not a sanctioned trust-building exercise.
****What an idiotic statement for an Attorney to make.****

WALMART SCREWS THE SERVICE MEMBERS On a $120 purchase, Walmart.com charged $10.35 to ship to an APO address, compared with $2.10 to a stateside address. For most items, Amazon.com charged the same to ship to an APO address as a stateside address. And Target.com offered free shipping on a $120 purchase to an APO address. When companies ship to APO addresses, the order is shipped to New York, after which the Department of Defense picks up the tab to get the package to an APO address. On Walmart.com, the company says shipping costs will be higher to APO addresses due to higher transportation costs, although there is no higher transportation costs since the item is only mailed to New York or California. Further shipment is provided by the military.
