Today I actually got to spend some time with Shane before I left for work. I took him to Taco Bell for lunch and I think I heard every joke he learned at school during the week. His mouth didn’t rest except when he stopped to swallow his food. It was a good time, but way to short. That is my biggest complaint about shift work, missing the family.
It was a cold minus 8 at the house this morning and when I left for work it was a scorching 7 above zero. Tonight I think it is going to stay around the zero mark so it won’t be as cold.

My fellow blogger over at DesertPeace posted a joke that really made me smile. Check it out here. Don’t worry, it is clean and safe.

It looks like Hillary and Romney have taken Nevada today with Ron Paul coming in second on the Republican side. In South Carolina Snow and bad weather may be hurting voter turnout in the Republican primary.
Will there be charges of racism in Nevada? Will Ron Paul use his second place finish to help him in other states? I guess we will find out.

Heres a story of a scammer getting scamed by the scamm’e. You need to read the entire exchange of emails but it is worth the time. I get so sick of these people in sending me emails and offering me part of the money from the Nigerian President or my dead Nigerian uncle.

Allan Melvin who played Sam the Butcher on “The Brady Bunch,” has died at 84. Melvin spent decades playing a series of sidekicks, second bananas and lovable lugs, including Archie Bunker’s friend Barney Hefner on “All in the Family,” and Sgt. Bilko’s right-hand man Cpl. Henshaw on the “Phil Silvers Show.”
But his place in pop culture will be fixed as butcher and bowler Sam Franklin, the love interest of Brady family maid Alice Nelson.
Rest in peace “Sam”.

Israel carries out missile test. Israel’s Defence Ministry says it has carried out a missile test, raising speculation the launch was part of a program to develop longer-range weapons or improve an anti-missile defence system.
Israel Radio said the missile tested was capable of carrying an “unconventional payload”.
Israel is currently thought to be developing the Jericho III ground-to-ground missile that can be equipped with a nuclear, chemical or biological warhead and could have a range of up to 4,500 kilometres.
And the world does nothing to stop this but continues to threaten war on other countries using flawed intel as a cause. I know I feel real safe knowing Zionist have nuclear weapons…. NOT!

Bill O’Reilly says they don’t exist but for as long as the United States has sent its young men – and later its young women – off to war, it has watched as a segment of them come home and lose the battle with their own memories, their own scars, and wind up without homes.
The Civil War produced thousands of wandering veterans. Frequently addicted to morphine, they were known as “tramps,” searching for jobs and, in many cases, literally still tending their wounds.
More than a decade after the end of World War I, the “Bonus Army” descended on Washington – demanding immediate payment on benefits that had been promised to them, but payable years later – and were routed by the U.S. military.
And, most publicly and perhaps most painfully, there was Vietnam: Tens of thousands of war-weary veterans, infamously rejected or forgotten by many of their own fellow citizens.
Now it is happening again, in small but growing numbers.
Its time for the Republicans and Neocons on the air waves to admit that there is a problem and time for action to be taken.

Great Post! For the homeless vets, I know what that is like. I am one of the vets who spent a good share of my life on the streets after Veitnam. It cost me my family and found that booze was the easiest way to forget, So I thought. I am one of the lucky ones. Thanks to help from the street people as they are called and some Nam vets who were also living on the streets my life has been turned around. The damn government could careless what happens when you come home.
What Carol said about O’Reilly goes for me.

Wouldn’t it be great if Bill O’Lielly got to spend the night under a bridge? He might discover how stupid he is.

It really is a shame what happens to the Vets when they come home.
